A lint-packed dryer vent is a fire risk and an energy bill you should not be paying. We pull the whole duct run clear with a heavy-duty rotary brush, verify the airflow, and get your dryer back to one-cycle drying.
Rotary brush lint extraction, start to finish
Safety & Efficiency
Cleaning the lint screen only catches part of it. The rest packs the duct behind your dryer โ and that is where the real problems start.
Lint ignites easily, and a restricted duct traps heat exactly where that lint has collected. Failure to clean is the leading factor in home clothes dryer fires reported to U.S. fire departments. Clearing the full run takes the fuel out of the equation.
A blocked vent forces your dryer to run longer and hotter for the same load. Restore the airflow and every cycle costs less โ on gas or electric. It is one of the few home maintenance jobs that quietly pays for itself.
If towels and jeans need a second cycle, that is almost always airflow, not the appliance. Most customers notice the difference on the very first load after we leave.
Overheating wears out thermal fuses, heating elements and drum bearings early. Keeping the vent clear is far cheaper than a repair call โ and far cheaper than replacing the dryer years ahead of schedule.
A leaking or blocked duct pushes humidity, lint dust and โ on gas dryers โ combustion byproducts back into the laundry room instead of outside. Clearing the run sends it where it belongs.
A vent cap with a broken damper is an open invitation for birds and rodents along the Wasatch Front. We clear nests, clean the cap, and make sure the flapper actually closes again.
Our Process
Three steps, no guesswork โ and we do not call it done until the airflow proves it.
We pull the dryer out, check the connection and transition hose, trace the duct run, and look at the exterior vent cap. You find out how long the run is, what it is made of, and where the buildup actually sits before any work starts.
A powered rotary brush runs the full length of the duct, scrubbing packed lint off the walls while vacuum suction pulls it out โ inside and from the exterior cap. No blowing debris into the wall cavity and hoping for the best.
We reconnect the dryer, run it, and confirm strong exhaust at the outside vent with the damper opening freely. We reseal the transition, tidy the laundry area, and show you exactly what came out.
Our Work
This is what comes out of an average Salt Lake City dryer vent โ and why a lint screen alone is not enough.
Service Area
Local crews, local scheduling. We are on the road through these communities every week.
Good to Know
Once a year is the standard recommendation for an average household. If you are running a large family's laundry, drying pet bedding, or working with a long or twisting duct run โ common when the laundry room sits away from an exterior wall โ every six to nine months is the safer interval.
Clothes needing two cycles to dry, the dryer or laundry room running unusually hot, a burning or musty smell mid-cycle, lint collecting around the door seal, and little or no air at the exterior vent while the dryer runs. Any one of those is worth a call.
Lint is highly combustible, and a restricted duct traps heat right where it has collected. Failure to clean is the leading factor in home clothes dryer fires reported to U.S. fire departments. Clearing the full run removes the fuel and lets the heat vent the way the appliance was designed to.
Most single-family homes take about 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the length of the run and how much buildup we find. Long runs, roof terminations and upstairs laundry rooms take a little longer โ and we tell you up front if yours is one of them.
Yes. We work with homeowners, landlords and property managers across Salt Lake and Davis counties, and we are happy to coordinate access with tenants or an HOA.
